Well hello my fellow DAers!  Just thought i'd update you on what i've been doing recently because (shame on me!) I haven't written since december!
Anyway, what i've been doing recently is basically work experience!  I did one week at the Independant newspaper (very prestigious!) because my dad taught one of the people who work there (Maxine Frith), so i took advantage of that wonderful contact!  The week was fun, and i got to go to a press conference, with the science editor, Steve Connor, which was funky, and I got to do an interview with someone - but i didn't actually get any writing to do at all, which was a shame!

Umm, then i spent this week at the Folkestone Herald newspaper, which has been better, and i've already had a byline in the ashford adscene, which was pretty cool.  Umm, I went to the Venetian Fete in Hythe, and sat on a boat for two hours, parading on board wearing a paper hat and sandwich board! (and yes emily, i know you saw me, and i'm glad you didn't have a camera with you!)  and that was really cool!  but apart from that, i havent done anything!
